GATE OF YETZIRAH

As we fell into the abyss
the silence disappeared
replaced by the sound of his voice.
'Olam ha-Yetzirah' he said.
It sounded strange. Exotic and filled with kinetic potential.
I tried to look up into his face
but his arms, his wings, and the wind conspired.
Instead I saw his finger as he pointed.
I looked down,
and there in the midst of the whirlwind
I saw light.
'Get ready,' he told me -
impossible, I thought,
I've already been annhilated twice today!
